Summary
COI synopsis: Fire doors save lives in emergencies; by blocking off the corridors they prevent the spread of the fire. But they also block the corridors for people trying to use them - for some, like the tea-lady, it’s a serious inconvenience. Now a simple suction cup fitted behind the door will hold it open long enough for her to get through - and a small hole in the cup will enable air to seep into the vacuum and release the door in moments.
