- Summary
- COI synopsis: Many of Britain’s fine old churches are in need of urgent repairs if they are to be saved from falling down. But a great debate is going on in Britain about how many churches should be saved; how much should be spent on them and in what way they should be used if they are no longer needed for religious functions. Michele Brown visits the beautiful parish church at Long Melford to find out how it was saved and what the people feel about it.
