- COI synopsis: With the increasing volume of motor traffic on the world’s roads, deaths and injuries from accidents occur on a vast scale. Britain has suffered less than most developed countries. But the toll in human suffering and community expense is tragic. Michele Brown looks into some of the ways Britain is trying to combine engineering and education to create road sense in its citizens, particularly the young.
