British Pathe synopsis: "If you were suddenly placed on a saddle six feet above a wobbly sort of wheel - would you try this?" M/S of man balanced on a very tall unicycle. He wears jodhpurs, a jacket and flat cap. He moves around the Pathe Studio pretending to be out of control of his unicycle. He grabs onto a pillar then cycles backwards and forwards again to the pillar. "Mounting is easy - with a little practice - (About ten years!)" The man balances on the wheel of the unicycle then quickly climbs up onto the pedals. "Our slow camera shows the unusual angles reached." Slow motion footage of the cyclist as he careers around. "All steps come alike -" He wiggles around, twisting the unicycle. He then does some high kicks with one leg. "The girl, the whirl and the wheels!" Our man is joined by a female partner - she too rides a tall unicycle. They cycle around in a circle at speed holding hands. The girl then leaves the man spinning around on his own. "The undoing" - or two on a bike’s too much!" The man rides around on an ordinary bicycle. His partner jumps up onto the handlebars. She sits astride his shoulders. C/U of the girl as she holds her arms in the air - in a sequined costume. Suddenly the man rips part of the bicycle off so that it turns into a unicycle. He then cycles along with his partner sitting on his shoulders. Slow motion footage of him jumping off the bike and the girls jumping down from his shoulders. He takes off his hat. - Keywords
