NoS Summary - Short but sweet travelogue showing various spots in Cornwall and its residents.
British Pathe synopsis: "Britain has the wild west - Cornwall, where the rugged coast beats back the Atlantic." Iris out onto seascape - rocky coastline with outcrop being buffeted by the waves. Moving aerial shot of coastline. Large moored boat is seen from the air. "And here and there are little inland residents who care less for the great billows outside." M/S of a birds and their young in shallow fast moving water. They battle against the waves. "But, Cornwall has its peaceful spots, too - St. Ives, for instance." Pictorial shot of St Ives harbour. C/U of bearded man in flat cap smoking a pipe. C/U of another man - a typical fisherman with white beard and fisherman’s cap. "The Knill Monument - ten little village girls are chosen to dance here every fifth year, in return for certain legacies." L/S of the monument. Closer view of the base of the monument. Camera dissolve into a shot showing the ten little village girls dancing around it. They are all dressed in white. They do a kind of jig balanced on a thin ledge around the monument. "In the air again - beyond the town to the Godrevy Lighthouse." Aerial shot of the town and sea. Aerial shot of the lighthouse.
