Summary

Rhodesian Spotlight Commentary - It’s an all African Boxing contest in Lusaka - Hodgson Technical College versus the rest. Now if boxing is the gentle art of self-defense, this wasn’t boxing. There wasn’t a sign of defense all night long. Mulenga of Hodgon in striped pants waded into Sievu of Munali and though both were fit, they soon began to tire from their exertions. They did a hard day’s work in three two minute rounds. Mulenga leading on points might have gone bye-byes if this uppermost had landed, however, it merely fanned his fevered brow and left him a clear winner.
For another fight Sikumba of Hodgson made a warlike entry into the ring which, however, left his opponent completely unmoved. At the gong these two vacillated between the March of the Toreadors and Rock ‘n’ Roll. One minute it looked like a Bull fight, then Rock ‘n’ Roll came to the top as they took partners for a dance. Anyway, whatever, it was it had the crowd cheering, and that seemed to result in a spot more slosh. This fight only went two rounds resulting in torn tonsils for the crowd and a triumphant heaving bosom for Sikumba. After which proceedings were held up two perfect gentlemen.
