- Summary
- Babcock and Wilcox synopsis: The Canteen at Renfrew Works provides hot meals daily for nearly a thousand men and few realise the organisation behind the preparation and prompt service of such meals. B. & W. Ltd. can be proud of this canteen, with its pleasant environment and completely modern kitchen equipment including steam-ovens, mechanical mixers and dish washers; yet still making steak-and-kidney pies "the way the mother makes them". Treated in somewhat humorous vein this is a lively and interesting item, pinpointing one of the amenities provided by the Company for its workers at Renfrew.
