Summary
Babcock and Wilcox synopsis: In this item, the "Home and Away" film unit accompanies a party of British and foreign journalists on a visit to Calder Hall ‘A’ atomic power station, when it is nearing completion. The station is shown in an advanced state of construction, paying particular attention to the 80-feet-high steam-generating towers supplied by Babcock and Wilcox, Ltd., and scenes are included of these towers being manufactured at the Company’s Renfrew Works. The item concludes with a picture representing the station when completed.
