MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Forbra Wins Grand National. DESCRIPTION: Young horses, J Hamey up, runs strong race to win the Grand National at his first attempt. Sub.1. Field of 36 starters thinned severely for second time round. SHOTLIST: Horses lined up at starting gate. Shot of the start. Shots of the race. Jumps at Becher’s Brook etc. Also falls. Shots at the jumps but some of the horses refuse to jump. Forbra staves off Egremont and Wins by Three Lengths. Shots of the finish and being led into the unsaddling enclosure. Shots of the jockey dismounting.
