Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Woodfull Appeals for Empire Buying. DESCRIPTION: Test Team skipper points out mutual advantages of British money spent on Australian products. SHOTLIST: Shot of Woodfull speaking on the above. HE SAYS: "I want to speak to you as a fellow Briton. We are all of the same big British family, with the best reasons for enjoying together, not only our famous old game, but also for co-operating in business. For years Australia has been next to India, Britain’s best customer and our anxiety is that you, our kith and kin, shall increase our power to buy your goods, by purchasing the excellent sultanas, butter, eggs, canned peaches and other products which Australia can now supply at such reasonable cost. Not only are Australian products good, the money you pay for them is spent by Australia on British goods, the result being more prosperity and less unemployment."
