- Description
- Springwatch is bringing live wildlife action from across the UK. We have cameras poised to allow us a live and privileged view into the springtime dramas of our nesting birds from Norfolk, the Isle of Mull and the north east of England. With spring in full swing (or is it summer?), our nests are full to bursting. It’s a season of new life. As well as all our live nest cameras, the programme showcases some of the season’s most recognisable stars. Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan reveal the fate of a nest of skylight chicks at the hands of an unlikey predator and we look one of our most ubiquitous mammals, the rabbit. Megan McCubbin reveals some exciting news about Ospreys in the South of England, discovers why, also in the south, the horseshoe bat is making something of a comeback and visits a stronghold of one of he UK’s most endangered species, the freshwater pearl mussell. Over on the Isle of Mull, Iolo Williams is investigating the comings and goings of one of his all-time favourite birds, the hen harrier and one of the most majestic of marine mammals, the orca.
