Description
Nation on Film goes back to school, as films made in the classrooms of Britain reveal those happy days of secondary moderns, grammar schools and the 11-plus exam. Sixty years ago, secondary modern schools were created to give each child the right education for their age, aptitude and ability. So why, 20 years later, were teachers calling for their closure?
