Synopsis
Dance. Excerpts from Frederick Ashton’s ballet The Dream danced by the Joffrey Ballet and directed and staged by John Hart. Music by Mendelssohn, arranged by John Lanchbery. Videotaped in studio rehearsal with piano accompaniment. The rehearsal footage begins from the end of Bottom’s variation after his transformation to the end of the ballet, but without Bottom’s awakening scene. For the beginning of the ballet up to, but not including, the rustics’ dance see the TOFT tape MGZIC 9-5302 Joffrey Ballet.
