- Summary
- American Rangers in the wooded hill country round Altissunis. British infantry fire mortars in support of the Rangers, while the Rangers rush enemy hide-outs. [123 ft] Meanwhile another battle of the Volturno River is raging, but this time against wind and rain, and American Engineers race against time to keep their pontoon bridges intact. Already two have been swept away by the gale-force winds and rising waters, and their efforts to strengthen the third bridge are to no avail and that too is swept away. [81 ft]
