- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: London Carries On. DESCRIPTION: Ministers and Service Chiefs carry their gas masks. The ‘Nippies’ have their own gas mask container. At the wedding of Miss Ann Bailey and Pearce Sinnott gas masks are much in evidence. Prince Monolulu as ‘a gas mask’. SHOTLIST: Mr and Mrs Chamberlain take their morning walk, as does Mr Anthony Eden. General Sir Edmund Ironside, Air Chief Marshal Sir Cyril Newall and Sir Dudley Pound walk together. Gas Mask containers are seen everywhere, and even "Nippies" have them. Shop windows are papered to prevent splintering. Also shots of people going to work with masks, boarding bus etc., for use in the section London Carries On 2.
