MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Are We Doing Everything We Can?. DESCRIPTION: Have you joined the Local Defence Volunteers? Schoolboys help with the harvest. National Savings Cinema Vans tour remote parts of the country. SHOTLIST: Shot of LDV’s at Bisley (CARD 39243). LDV Motor Cycle corps (CARD 39244). Schoolboys digging (CARD 39213). National Savings daylight projection van (CARD 39201). ARP Bunny Hutchins outside the building. Shots of the new "Invasion" pamphlet, distributor arm being taken from car and maps being hidden (CARD 39235). LDV’s At Bisley Various shots of the men shooting under the guidance of regular soldiers. Motor-Cyclists’ LDV Rally The motor-cyclists all meet in a large field and enrol for the "Parashots". Schoolboys On The Land The boys start out on the cycles. They get to work on the farm hoeing and ploughing. The school where the boys are being educated is Loretto, Scotland. War Savings Cinema Van First fishermen and then children watch the show. Invasion Story Shots of men on railway embankment, disabling a car by removing distributor arm, hiding maps and a shot of the Government pamphlet on the subject.
