Summary
A "Queen" came home. At the end of the 1,001st Atlantic crossing, the Queen Mary slowly steamed into her home port from New York for the last time. It had been a memorable voyage for all who came home with her, parties, champagne, in fact, a last fling by the great Queen of the Sea. But at last there was a time of sad nostalgia. The parties were over, the Queen Mary had almost reached the end of her career as a passenger ship. One more voyage, a cruise, and then to her last berth far from home on the other side of the world.
