Summary
The Royal Air Force is 50 years old. For the Junior Service it has been 50 Golden Years. At the Savoy Hotel, the Variety Club of Great Britain staged the first of many celebrations at which the RAF will be honoured this year. Marshal of the RAF, Prince Philip was guest of honour a the Tribute Luncheon - a tribute which Pathe News echoes on film for the Service which has immortalised the words: "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers". The nation owes them so much.
