- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: Another in our series on distinguished personalities of our time...as a change from designing great aircraft, Sir Alliot Verdon Roe, now over 80, turns his hand to something smaller to suit the "chairborne" characters. it is a 60 mph "Bicar" which is, in fact, a shaft-driven "armchair" scooter. The driver sits, leans his back against a padded seat and stretches his feet out in front of him; in rainy weather he can be completely covered by a plastic canopy.
