- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: When the last war ended, small gratuities went to most ex-members of the armed forces, of whom two [Leslie Smith and Rodney Smith (no relation)] immediately decided to start a small die-casting works. In fifteen years that small firm has grown to be one of the biggest model manufacturers in the world [Lesney Matchbox Toys]. To make these tiny model vehicles requires a production line almost as complex as the one producing the real thing. But the result is detailed enough to satisfy the collector, yet tough enough for a small boy to play with.
