- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wendell Wilkie at Lidice. Illinois. DESCRIPTION: Lidice in Czechoslovakia was wiped out, but a new Lidice in Illinois has been dedicated to its memory. SHOTLIST: There is a parade and then Wilkie dedicates the name of an American village, which is now called Lidice, in memory of the Czech village of the same name, wiped out by the Germans as a reprisal for the death of Heydrich. Wilkie makes a speech. There are shots of the Czech village of Lidice.
