MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: USS ‘Yorktown’. (Midway). DESCRIPTION: America scores a victory at sea, pictures show the action aboard the aircraft carrier "Yorktown". The carrier was hit but not sunk during the battle. SHOTLIST: Shots of the aircraft taking off from the ‘Yorktown’ (Bombers). Guns fire at a Jap plane which runs straight into a terrific barrage of fire (AA). Stills showing the ‘Yorktown’ on fire and also scenes aboard the aircraft carrier after the action at Midway, showing the damage caused by the Japs.
