MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Graveyard of Nazi Hopes. DESCRIPTION: It is a year since that now famous night barrage rent the skies at Alamein and began the defeat of Rommel. SHOTLIST: Cut story - (Library - KS. CU marching feet over desert. Various shots of transport winding along road & across desert, also tanks sweeping across desert. Dusk shot of desert, night falls & gun barrage opens up, tanks moving forward), mix to deserted railway station. CU sign El Alamein, masses of wrecked & captured tanks, transport, guns mounted on tank chassis, pan of German helmets scattered about sand, GS of Springbok Road, also sign, GS of barbed wire entanglements, pan of cemetery & also of gravestone, GS of cross also shadow of same. Very good shots of tanks - lined up - guns pointing, etc. Shermans???
