- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rumania Yields. DESCRIPTION: Early last spring Red Army troops crossed from Bessarabia into Rumania. The Rumanians were assured that the Soviets had no designs on their territory and soon found they could resume normal life. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV Rumanian country. Russian troops watch planes pass overhead. In trenches, General Koniev looks through binoculars. CU Koniev. Russian troops charge across country, run through trenches. CU water of River Pruth. Various shots of wrecked bridges across River Pruth, Russian cross river. Russian tank one move, artillery along roads, entering Siret. CU sign Siret, various shots of Siret. CU sign Botashani, & shots of town, Russian soldiers march through to band. Various shots of Rumanian peasants, listen to Russian advice, more shots of them returning to their homes, also others at work on land. Ploughing, etc., sowing the seeds.
