MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Churchill’s 2nd Visit to Moscow. DESCRIPTION: Mr Churchill arrived in Moscow to be welcomed by Mr Molotov. Accompanying the Premier on the trip were the Foreign Secretary, Mr Eden, Field Marshal Sir Alan Brooke and General Sir Hastings Ismay. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Cars driving into Moscow airport. GV of Union Jacks & Red Flags. Arrival at airport of Clark-Kerr. CU Clark-Kerr. Arrival of Harriman, also CU of him, he had his wife with him. Arrival of Molotov & Maisky. CU of Molotov (Commissar for Foreign Affairs) CU Maisky - Molotov’s deputy. Group walk across aerodrome. Guard of Honour. SCU Churchill out of York plane, shakes hands with Molotov. Eden out, cut-in of crowd round plane; Sir Alan Brooke out of plane followed by Sir Hastings Ismay. Group walk across aerodrome, stop while the two National Anthems are played. Guard of Honour present arms. Churchill inspects same. Marchpast of same. Churchill makes a speech, referring to the war & Red Army. Groups commence to enter cars. Churchill into car. Cars drive out of aerodrome. Library - GS of Kremlin, also shots of Moscow, finishing on CU Churchill & Stalin together.
