- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Across the Rhine - Remagen. DESCRIPTION: Pictures have now reached London of the bridge at Remagen which was captured by the 9th Armoured Division. They took the bridge intact and removed the demolition charges set by the Germans and now the bridge is proving very useful for crossing the Rhine. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV battlefield, scattered with US troops & Sherman tanks, near Prum. Various shots of the above, shows tanks & infantry advancing towards the Hockwald Forest in background. Various shots of the bridge at Remagen intact. US transport, cross same, GV looking across bridge, sign at beginning of bridge "Cross the Rhine with your feet dry, 9th Armoured Division". Few German prisoners across bridge into camera. Various shots of transport, jeeps, tanks etc. crossing bridge. On the East side of the Rhine, Sherman tanks move along roadway, in background high ground, small mountains. Various shots of Armoured Corps. on the East side of the river.
