- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Churchill in Miami. DESCRIPTION: Mr and Mrs Churchill travelled by train from New York to Miami. Their host was Colonel Frank Clarke and all happily posed for the Press in the Colonel’s garden. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Train pulls into Miami. Mrs Churchill alights, followed by Mr Churchill in open neck shirt. Small crowd await them. Mr & Mrs Churchill drive off in car escorted by speed-cops. Drive out of camera. GV Colonel Frank Clarke’s residence. Also sea view as seen from the house. In the garden correspondents, cameramen arrive for press talk. Mr & Mrs Churchill with Colonel Clarke, it is assumed, seated in chair in the garden. CU Churchill. CU Mrs Churchill, also CU Colonel Clarke. CU Churchill saying "I have been asked to say ten words, but was not told what ten words to say, but what comes to my mind, is, I am pleased to be able to take advantage of the Miami sunshine". This is not exactly what he says but words to that effect. Thanked by correspondent, pan back to Churchill counting words on his fingers and saying "that’s eleven not ten". People laugh.
