MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: National Festival of Youth. DESCRIPTION: The Duchess of Kent was at Wembley to watch the Festival of Youth. SHOTLIST: KS elevated shot of parade. Duchess of Kent arrives, walks onto dais, child presents bouquet of flowers to her. Various shots of marchpast, consisting of girls in physical training dress, nurses, girls riding ponies, elevated shot of marchpast. Elevated shot of PT display in centre of stadium, also boxing, netball, football, dribbling etc. Girls giving PT display, sailors doing hornpipe. CU of their feet. Army & RAF PT display. Elevated shot of everybody forming up to make the letters UN (United Nations). SV-CU of Duchess of Kent, cut-ins.
