- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: After Cape Town - the Royal Tour. DESCRIPTION: One of the stops on the Royal Tour as at an Ostrich Farm where the Queen clipped some feathers which were gifted to her. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Royal train drawing into station at Worcester. King in lounge suit alighting from train followed by Queen. King and Queen shaking hands with Mr Sturrock who then introduces them to other officials. Crowd line streets, cheering. Archways covered with grapes. Trucking shot towards archway with banner across same Welcome to George, Royal open car passes under the arch, the Princesses seated in front of the King and Queen, Peter Townsend in very front of car. Cut-in of crowds lining route. King & Queen talk (silent) to scouts, guides etc. Princess Elizabeth talks (silent) to an official. Royal cars drive into Ostrich Farm at Oudtshoorn, farmer greets Royal Family and shots of them being shown round Ostrich Farm at Le Roux. GV baby ostriches (3 weeks old) in pen. Royal Family have closer look at ostriches, some being picked up & held in ones arms. Baby ostrich is put on ground, runs out of camera. GV fully grown ostriches. Farmer leads one blindfolded to clipping of some feathers. MS of ostrich feathers. Cut-ins of ostriches, SCU of the heads only looking on, another eating branch of tree. Several shots of Queen inspecting the plumes after she cut them.
