Summary
Imperial troops embark preparatory to making the crossing. Vessels bring troops, transport, artillery, ammunition and stores to Greek ports. Credit due to the seamen of the Merchant Navy who man these vessels. Action stations taken at approaching planes, but it is a false alarm. Soldiers disembark and Greek dockers unload lorries, guns and stores. The troops, composed of British, Australians, Palestinians, Cypriots, New Zealanders, set off for pre-arranged destination in the interior.
