Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: To Probe the Antarctic. DESCRIPTION: An unusual visitor to the Port of London, the ‘Norsel’ is 1,700 ton diesel-driven Norwegian sealer, specially equipped and fitted out with stores and gear for her trip to the Antarctic, she is taking a combined Norwegian-British-Swedish expedition to Queen Maud Land. SHOTLIST: KS. "Norsel" lies alongside quay. Various shots of ship’s equipment. Shots of her mixed crew. RAF unit with crew who are accompanying, pose with organiser Professor Sverdrup. Captain Yevver leads the expedition.
