MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Truman’s Visitor From Persia. DESCRIPTION: The Shah of Persia has been paying a State Visit to President Truman, an important event, not only because it’s the first time such a visit had been made to America on official business, but also because of Persia’s strategic position in the Middle East. SHOTLIST: KS. Shah at door of plane. Truman greets the Shah of Persia as he alights from plane, inspects guard of honour. The two of them drive along in open car acknowledging crowds.
