MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Comets Under Construction. DESCRIPTION: At Hatfield, in Hertfordshire, the Comet, although it has not yet gone into service, has passed many tests with such great distinction that quantity construction has been going ahead. SHOTLIST: KS. GV of street inside factory area. Several shots of streets named after famous aircraft. Interior - various shots of workmen on the construction of Comet. Working inside fuselage, on the wing, riveting, etc. Cunningham stands in foreground looking on. Chats (silent) with men. Looking at blueprints. Various angle shots of the Comet in production. Elevated GV crowds leaving the works at the end of day, into & out of camera.
