Summary

A lot of local interest was aroused by the novel roller skating race from Leeds to York and back. Teams from Leeds and Wakefield - eight from each - took part and the contest was under NSA rules.
Shotlist - Men start Roller skate Race to York. Roller skates along road. Touch wall at York and turn round. Winner Ken Skyes finishes. Donald Burkinshaw coming in second. Winner takes a drink.
