- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Steel Works Opened. DESCRIPTION: The giant steel project begun four years ago at Port Talbot, South Wales, is now complete, and Mr Gaitskell came to open it. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS steel works - interior. Various interior shots of works, showing huge machinery working, overhead cranes, etc. Gaitskell walks round accompanied by Mr Lever, chairman. Gaitskell turns knob officially opening works. Huge piece of white hot metal coming along conveyer into camera, several shots. Gaitskell & Lever, cross talking. Gaitskell says what a great help this works will be in the future to our steel output, & wishes all the workers good luck.
