- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Korean Truce Talks. DESCRIPTION: First pictures of the cease-fire parleys in Korea show the departure by helicopter of the first negotiators. They were off to Kaesong to prepare the way for truce talks by senior officers. Everything’s reported to have gone quite smoothly. The Supreme Commander, General Ridgeway, flying over from Japan, came to see off the senior officers entrusted with the task of carrying on the talks. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Correspondents seated in group. Three colonels board helicopter complete with white flag. Helicopter takes off. Aerial of country, en route to Kaesong. Aerial of W on ground. Helicopter on ground, three Communists forward & greet negotiators. Interior seated around. Helicopter flies back. Correspondents surge round for information, Press boys taking down & typing notes on bonnet of jeep. General Ridgeway with officers walk along road into camera. Ridgeway with Admiral Joy & other officers. One of the Communists is a woman.
