Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The British Games. DESCRIPTION: The rain did its utmost to spoil the British Games at the White City, all the same, some good times were returned and some fine races run. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Finish of hurdle race. Elevated GV of stadium. CU rain & puddle. Start of Mile race. Nankeville runs 2nd. Overtaking Eyre & going on to win easily. Into camera - Pole Vault, American Bob Smith jumping. 100-yards Ladies race, Miss Cheeseman (No 3) winning. CU Cheeseman. Start of 100-yards Mens - MacDonald Bailey winning. MCU Starter fires gun. Start of 200-yards, pan of race, MacDonald Bailey again winning. SCU Bailey walking over to Wint in civilian clothing.
