- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Kaesong Hold-Up. DESCRIPTION: Breaking a solemn pledge, a company of armed Chinese Reds marched within a few hundred yards of the Kaesong Conference building - and the truce talks were broken off for five days. Coinciding with this incident came Soviet Russia’s bid for a five-power peace pact; and Mr Acheson, as Secretary of State, promptly indicated American reaction to the suggestion. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Single file of Reds marching towards camera with arms, rifles etc., various shots of the Red troops single file marching. MS Red officer with pistol looks at camera then walks away. UN delegates in jeeps drive away. Interior - the conference house, shows where meetings are held. MS Acheson. SCU & CU Acheson speaking on the breaking of the truce talks, & how USSR are hindering the peace talks.
