Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Some Important Returning. DESCRIPTION: Arriving at Southampton in the Queen Mary were Randolph Turpin, Mr Shinwell, Mr Walter Gifford, American Ambassador, and Mr Morrison and they all had something to say to the Press. Later, at No 10 Downing Street, Mr Morrison attended a meeting of the Cabinet. Persia was presumably the chief topic. In the afternoon Mr Churchill and Mr Eden arrived to take part in the discussions. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Titles over Queen Mary - SCU, in dock. Crowds on deck, Randy Turpin being interviewed about another fight, etc. GV crowd around, Randy Turpin. Shinwell down gangway. SCU speaking We are going into the fight - re-election, etc. Down gangway, Gifford. Mr & Mrs Gifford, former speaking on his return to this country. Morrison speaking re-election.
