Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: American Football Wembley. DESCRIPTION: Another Cup Final at Wembley, but a cup final with a difference, for it’s to decide the American Football Championship of the US Air Force in Europe. The match was between the Fursty Eagles (from Furstenfeldbruck, Germany) and the Burtonwood Bullets (from Lancashire). SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. American crowds. Inside dressing room, players preparing. One player has injection in his back. Shaving legs before putting on shin-guards. Putting on armour. Putting on jerseys. Mix to teams running out onto pitch. Teams are FURSTY EAGLES and BURTONWOOD BULLETS. CU line of helmets on ground. ‘Old Glory’ paraded onto field. MS Drum Majorettes demonstrating also baton twirlers. US troops give precision drill, demonstration. Cheer leaders in action. Kick-off. General play. Touch down. Linesman running along side of pitch, holding box on stick. Cut-ins types. VG. Bullets score, try by Bob Yates. Types again. Including two Negroes watching. Eagles scores from a melee. Two British soldiers watching game looking puzzled. Shot of rugger fan watching.
