Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Vienna Opera - Opening Ceremony and Performance. DESCRIPTION: The Opera House in Vienna, (destroyed during the war) is now restored to its original splendour. The audience on the opening night included Mr Dulles and Mrs Claire Booth-Luce. SHOTLIST: LS exterior of Opera House. LS chandelier, people cleaning it. CU opening night. Various celebrities including John Foster Dulles. Clare Booth-Luce. LS curtain opens and the company is on the stage. CU orchestra conductor. CU various people in the audience. SCU two of the characters sing duet. SCU the company take their bow. Dr Korner, the President, Dr Bohm, Dr Drimmel also present.
