Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wimbledon Tennis. DESCRIPTION: Crowds of people went to Wimbledon for the opening days of the world famous tournament. On the centre court, 1954 champion, Drobny met Krishnan of India, from whom he only succeeded in taking one set. Drobny was out, almost as soon as the Tournament had begun. SHOTLIST: Various shots of the crowds entering. Vic Seixas and Mrs Seixas and Lew Hoad and Mrs Hoad arriving. Shot of 3 girls wearing the same polka dot dress. Various shots of unusual bags with fruit and starfish etc. on them. Shot of man walking along holding a radio. Back shot of Jaroslav Drobny and Krishnan onto the court. Shot of crowds. Drobny serving. General shots of play. Krishnan wins. Krishnan and Drobny walking off of the pitch.
