Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Plane Crashes in River. DESCRIPTION: These pictures, enlarged from film taken by an amateur cameraman, show the scene just after the midnight crash in New York’s East River. Only eight of the seventy-three people on board were brought ashore: rescue was terribly difficult, for the fast current swept away many who escaped from the airliner. SHOTLIST: Rescue launch (key).
