- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Breaking Point. DESCRIPTION: At this research and testing laboratory, industry submits its products to improve their standards. Rear lamps are tested to see if they can stand up to the lifetime of vibration they receive. Also paraffin heaters and kitchen stools. The high safety limit’s reassuring, and they proved that a building-block can support over 120 tons. Even spectacle lenses are being developed so as they may crack but not be shattered.
