MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Engineers on the Go!. DESCRIPTION: Raising the dust at the Royal Military School of Engineering:- the annual demonstration at Chatham, by the Royal Engineers. The function of the engineers is destructive as well as constructive. The engineers have perfected a number of ways of bridging gaps, developing their military role, which is to help the Army to live, to move and to fight. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV helicopter landing. GV pan - men out of armoured cars. GV men over bridge. MS helicopter laying mines. GV bridge blows up. GV pan - troops out of armoured cars. MLS tank fills cavity in ground and drives over it. This was a demonstration by The Royal School of Military Engineering. NATO officers were watching.
