- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Water Ski Champions. DESCRIPTION: Competitors taking part in the first English-Open Water Ski Championships at Sonning in Berkshire. Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon were present. Among competitors taking part, Mike Cooper-Simpson in the slalom. John McDowell of the Century Club. Anne Wilton from Ruislip winner of the woman’s jumping. 19 year old Fiona Saunders winner of the overall championship. In the best of three jumps, it was Peter Pearl. Lady Docker’s son Lance Callingham proved to be the overall champion, but in the jumping he was beaten by Tony McCleery from Belfast. SHOTLIST: Key scene. BS water skier starts.
