- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Liner in the Garden. DESCRIPTION: Stapleford Park, is the only house I’ve heard of that has a regular boat-train running through the grounds. Drawn by the John of Gaunt, the train carries passengers to Lakeside Station and the Liner Northern Star. The naming ceremony was carried out on the second anniversary of the launching of her big-sister namesake. Visitors to Stapleford Park will now be able to make the unusual boast that they’ve visited a stately home - and enjoyed a cruise on a liner - at the same time. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV building, model railway (2 shots). MCU John of Gaunt and pan up to engine driver. GV baby liner Northern Star (replica of the Shaw Savill Line’s SS Northern Star).
