MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Driving With a Difference. DESCRIPTION: The Beeching Plan closing down so many unprofitable railway lines has given some people some bright ideas. The Railmobile an invention which allows the motorist to drive his car along the railway lines. Also the Amphicar. You can drive not only to the river, but on it. SHOTLIST: Key scene. Railmobile was invented by Mr CJ Prescott. The Amphicar is made by the Mercedes Company in Germany. It is powered by Triumph engines, giving 8 knots cruising, and normal speeds operating on roads. British Distributors are Amphicar (Gt Britain) Ltd. Price approx £1,200.
