- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Taking the Waters. DESCRIPTION: A demonstration at Portsmouth of the self-righting Lifeboat. Should the boat capsize or go over, she is automatically brought back to safety. Engines are switched off and vents closed. SHOTLIST: Key Scene. MS lifeboat. CU dial showing angle of boat. LAS crane, pan down to lifeboat being upturned by crane, the rope drops away and the boat rights itself. MCU spectators. LAS crane. MS lifeboat is upturned again and it rights itself. MCU the designer (Richard Oakley) emerges from the boat. MCU amphibious tank enters water. MS tank moving along in the water. MS spectators. MS tank moving along in the water. LS ditto. MS ditto. MCU tank emerges from water.
