Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Power Boat Race. DESCRIPTION: An unusual power boat race at Ramsgate - with an unusual start! SHOTLIST: GV Ramsgate harbour. SV line up of girls in hot pants outside classic cinema. CU pan along girls 2 shots. SV Mayor of Ramsgate prepares to start race. GV lowers his arm and girls start running down street - pan as they pass camera. BV girls running along promenade. GV girls get into waiting powerboats in harbour. LV Mayor waving from jetty. GV pan boats racing out of harbour. LV boat at speed. GV boats’ wake. SV pan boat at speed. SV pan No 113 Mister Poppet at speed. SCU pan girls in boat. Ditto at speed. LV pan boats turn round buoy & head for home. SV pan No 113. GV boats speeding towards camera. LV winner is congratulated. SV pan as dolly bird in hot pants is presented to winner (David Jeffcott of Sandwich). SCU as winner receives a kiss from 2 girls.
